3 companies – 716 employees impacted – 2 rounds of individual consultations – delivered virtually over 3 months
The approach
We never forgot that we were impacting the lives of human beings, in this case 716 affected employees. On this project (like all others) we put people first, handling all projects and individuals with the utmost consideration. Connor delivered on this highly sensitive project whilst overcoming the objections of being external and managing all meetings virtually.
“I think sometimes the assumption with external resource can be ‘it’s not the same’ … How wrong I was! Thank you Connor! For not only alleviating the pressure but for being so well prepared and knowledgeable.”
Jo Nash, LV, Consultation Meeting Scheduler
“Elizabeth from Connor was brilliant, she was a great support to me and was really proactive, ensuring scripts were correct and was in constant communication throughout the process putting me at my ease”.

What the client said
Well, what a 3 months it has been! 716 employees consulted in total, yet with only 8 appeals, and this was achieved with all meetings conducted virtually. Your contribution to these amazing statistics cannot be understated. To think you had the challenges of joining the project part-way through, handling the cultural nuances of three companies merging into one and of course being external HR Experts new to the way we do things around here. However, you very quickly became accepted by the managers and employees, providing a seamless service, working alongside our in-house HR professionals to deliver legally defensible meetings – whilst showing real empathy and a personal touch towards all our people.
I heard so many positive comments about your support; just as a flavour, I heard comments like ‘the support has been phenomenal’ and ‘you were totally prepped / knowledgeable from the very start. My special thanks goes to Su McDonald who pulled it all together as On-Site Project Manager, handling ambiguity and complex stakeholder relationships, all whilst running at speed!”
